This beast can perform massive 80+ LY jumps and has more than enough space to equip anything the player could ever ... Both are excellent multi-purpose ships capable in almost any role. I personally prefer role-specific, specialized ships, also consider a Type-6/7 for trading and a dedicated combat ship like a Vulture, Chieftain or Krait2. If you're grinding for a Corvette, I very much recommend trying the Fed line of ships.

The only ships that wont get the military slots is the Clipper and Courier, because they are not military ships. Well those are the two most people care about. Clipper and Courier are the major Imperial combat ships people fly, so that's what I was talking about. They get left out in the cold twice: shield nerf, and no boost to hull stacking.
